With unemployment rates under 3.5 percent, but at the same time Indianapolis has a poverty rate above 20 percent, we here at Indy Politics decided to take a look at this “divide” and try to get a feel for its root causes and how it can be bridged.

So over the course of the summer, we’ll be talking to a number of individuals who play a role in closing that gap.
