Former Speaker of the House and two-time Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Gregg is becoming a lobbyist.

As first reported in this weekend’s edition of “The Cheat Sheet“, Gregg is joining the government affairs division of Ice Miller.

Miller’s acquisition of Gregg could signal a major restructuring of the division.

Gregg ran for Governor in 2012 and 2016.   He served as Speaker of the House from 1996 to 2003.

He has also served as President of Vincennes University, worked for the coal industry and the law firm of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP.

An official start date has not been announced.
