Secretary of State Connie Lawson says Indiana’s efforts to protect its election infrastructure from cyberattacks have garnered national attention.

In the Leon-Tailored Audio, Lawson talks about the FireEye project.    It’s a program that uses federal funding to protect elections and it helps counties protect themselves from cyberattacks.

Lawson says Indiana is the first state in the nation to use the program, and because of that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is interested in how well it works.

The interview runs for 10 minutes.
