No charges will be filed against Indianapolis City-County Councilmember Zach Adamson who was under investigation for sexual misconduct.
A 19-year old male made the allegations against Adamson regarding an alleged incident which occurred in the fall.
According to court records, the special prosecutor, Tami Napier, said that she “conferred with the assigned IMPD detective in this matter, reviewed all of the material developed during the investigation and arrived at a decision” that no criminal charges would be filed in the matter.”
Adamson released a statement to the media saying he was “pleased” at the result.
“We’re grateful to the IMPD detectives working on this matter and thank them for their thorough investigation,” Adamson said in a statement. “I wish to thank the many people here in Indianapolis and around Indiana who’ve reached out to express their unequivocal support for me and my family during this time.”
