Hoosiers can expect an average increase in their property tax bills from five to eight percent this year.  That’s according to David Botorff, the head of the Association of Indiana Counties.

A lot of Hoosiers saw major increases in their property tax assessments due to housing shortages created, in part, by market forces.

When asked if there was anything lawmakers could so, Botorff says it’s likely too late to do anything for the Spring tax bills this year.
