The Governor’s Commission on Teacher Pay got an earful of suggestions on how to raise educator’s salaries ranging from reducing the amount the state spends on standardized testing, eliminating vouchers and bringing back a more structured pay structure.
It was the first of three hearings across the state.
Indy Politics spoke with commission chairman Mike Smith and Advisory Board member Lee Ann Kwiatkowski as well as ISTA President Keith Gambill on the suggestions from the audience.
We also have reaction from State Reps Bob Behning and Melanie Wright.
