Both House Speaker Brian Bosma and Democratic Leader Scott Pelath say it will ultimately be up to State Representative Justin Moed and his constituents to decide whether he can survive his current sexting scandal.

Naked pictures of Moed appeared on the website called thedirty.com.  He reportedly was engaging in sexting with a woman known as Sydney Leathers who was involved with the downfall of former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner.  He later apologized.

Both Bosma and Pelath called  the incident unfortunate and sad.  However when asked whether Moed could continue as a lawmaker, both men agreed that would be up to him and his constituents.

You can hear their comments above in the Leon-Tailored audio.  Pelath’s comments run about 5 minutes.  The Speaker’s about 15, however he also comments on other issues facing lawmakers.
