State health officials say the best way to get Hoosiers vaccinated is to engage them one-on-one to address their concerns.
The state’s vaccination rate is about 49-percent and public health officials would have hoped that number would be higher.
Public Health Commissioner Dr. Kristy Box says many Hoosiers are hesitant to get the vaccination due to safety concerns or misinformation, so she and other officials say the best way to address that is by engaging those skeptics one-on-one and not belittling their concerns.
You can hear Dr. Box and Chief Medical officer Dr. Lindsey Weaver in the Leon-Tailored Audio above.
It runs for approximately 40 minutes.
